These are a list of the cemeteries in Hamilton County, Indiana as updated in April 1997 by H. A. Demaree. They are laid out by townships. When there are two names shown, the first is the common or official name and
the second the name its was sometimes given by persons living nearby.
Many thanks go to the Hamilton County Cemetery Commission and its Chairman, Joe Burgess for the excellent condition of the cemeteries in this county. Also, thanks to those who, over the
years, have listed the graves in these cemeteries. Especially to James L.
and Velma B. Correll who did almost of the cemetery's in the county. Also
to Dr. Earl Brooks, who listed all the Cemetery's in Fall Creek Township and to
Patricia B. Gibbs, who alphabetized and indexed Dr. Brooks files. For bios

Jack Edwards and his volunteers did the Clay Township Cemeteries
Lyneen Burrows listed all of the Wayne County Cemeteries and is working on Jackson Twp.
There are
two other cemeteries, locations unknown in the county. One is known as Gwinn and the other as unknown.
No information exists on these two cemeteries or the unknown one in Washington Township.
